The name ACCUPHASE was adapted by taking the prefix ACCU from the word "accurate", and combining it with PHASE which is a most important factor in audio technology. We feel it is a very fitting brand name to describe our products that fully portray this and other important characteristics, which penetrate the innermost depth of audio technology. Our endless pursuit of quality requires a very high degree of processing which persuades us to avoid the use of mass production systems. Consequently, production volume is limited and Accuphase products are available only at a restricted number of specialized stores.
Accuphase equipment is not subject to the whims of market fashion since they are made, above all, to achieve true high fidelity sound reproduction. This is the foremost reason why our products have enjoyed long-run production.
Music is an oasis that refreshes us in our journey of life.
Music can be soothing, exciting, exhilarating. It can move our hearts and enrich our lives, which is the goal we at Accuphase seek through audio technology.
This was the idea behind the slogan "Enrich Life through Technology" which originally brought together the group of very highly skilled audio experts who conceived and today produce the successful Accuphase line of audio equipment. It is the guiding principle behind all Accuphase components whose high grade can be considered extravagant. Just as there are exquisite musical instruments that are especially highly prized, we believe that the same applies to audio components. This belief forms the basis of our design concept. It is the reason why we strive to build extra value into each of our units so that they will display fully the merits of hand construction.
Physicist Klaus Heinz and his son, Mastering Engineer / Musicologist Dr. Frederik Knop founded HEDD | Heinz Electrodynamic Designs in October 2015. As an acoustic professional & music enthusiast, Heinz’ life oscillates between the worlds of physics and sound. He is the founder of several renowned companies, among them loudspeaker manufacturer ADAM Audio, as whose Managing Director and Head of Research & Development he served for many years. For the past forty years, Klaus Heinz has dedicated himself to developing high-end loudspeakers that have become established constants in diverse fields: from music production processes in professional recording and mastering studios to radio broadcasting, installation and finally home HiFi, his loudspeakers can be found in a great variety of contexts.
Despite their application in diverse tonal and professional contexts, Heinz’ loudspeaker designs have always stayed true to the same ideal of sonic excellence: they have, above all, always aimed to produce complete accuracy and outstanding signal fidelity while being less concerned with tinging recording audio material with pleasing tonal colors. It comes, therefore, as no surprise that the product development department at HEDD | Heinz Electrodynamic Designs is fully committed to the idea of creating versatile and surgically precise studio monitors that producers and sound engineers from a wide array of musical branches can use as tools for their audio monitoring processes. HEDD’s loudspeakers can thus be understood as the newest and most advanced products that Klaus Heinz and his team have developed over the years.

iFi is a brand new line of electronics with trickle-down technology licensed from AMR and aimed primarily at the future, Computer Audio generation. All iFi products boast Class A analogue circuitry with no DSP and the signal stays ‘Bit Perfect’ throughout.
How a product looks and performs matters, but so does its impact on the environment. That’s why nearly every iFi product and its packaging are made from highly recyclable materials like aluminum, paper, recycled plastic and why we refuse to use harmful toxins in our components.
We do this to ensure that every product we release meets our environmental standards.

What is a Lumin Network Music Player? It is a high-end streamer and a high-end DAC in a single chassis. Lumin engineers the very best and most of their players are dual mono all the way back to the power cord. That's right, separate DACs for each channel and even separate toroidal power transformers for each channel. Ask us how Lumin makes digital sound analog.
A LAWYER FOR THE DEFENSE OF DEMANDING AUDIOPHILES
In the early 2000, longstanding music and design aficionado Jean-François Michaud, lawyer by profession and demanding audiophile was not satisfied with the platforms, racks and audio furniture available in the market. None met his combined criteria in terms of performance, design, flexibility or ease of assembly.
PUTTING HIS EXPERIENCE TO WORK.
During his career, he had been involved in the furniture industry while representing a major association of manufacturers in Canada and around the world. He knew the business inside out and had developed close ties with highly skilled collaborators in the industry.
So, combining his passion for music and audio with his experience and technical knowledge, Jean-François dedicated himself to developing audio platforms, modules and furniture that would satisfy his needs and the needs of demanding audiophiles.
FOCUS ON PERFORMANCE AND GREAT LOOKS
He quickly realized that managing vibrations, not eliminating them was an essential part of high-fidelity music reproduction, a fact often overlooked by many audiophiles.
Further research not surprisingly showed that existing audio furniture simply didn’t match the great look of today's high-end audio equipment and fell short of contemporary standards in interior design.
MODULUM AUDIO - SINCE 2014
After several years of research and development, Jean-François created Modulum Audio in February 2014. The first products were introduced to the high-end audio market in 2015 and immediately made waves. The right kind of waves.
Today, Modulum offers two lines of audio platform systems. The Modulum Fokus system and the Modulum Arkitek system and the Modpod vibration control accessories.
Even the slightest vibration can affect an audio signal resulting in a blurred acoustical image
Founded in 1991 by Peter Thomas of the BBC and Adrian Loader of FWO Bauch. The combination of knowledge and a life-long passion for music led to the production of PMC’s first product, the BB5-A, an active main studio monitor. This design was snapped up by the BBC Maida Vale and Metropolis Mastering and remains the world’s reference, used by Prince, Stevie Wonder’s Wonderland Studio, Hospital HDTV Broadcast London and for renowned classical labels such as Decca and Harmonia Mundi. Many of today’s movie themes have been crafted using PMC, from such eminent composers as Henry Jackman, Thomas Newman, Tyler Bates and John Debney.
Discerning listeners all over the world agree. Our designs are involved in every link of the music-making chain, from the recording studio to listening at home, which means we know exactly how to present music as transparently as possible, just as the artist intended. This knowledge, combined with our love for music, drives us to create products that you listen through rather than to.
The importance of emotions Romanticism is the emphasis on emotion and sensitivity against reason and rationalism.
